Shocker: George McCaskey makes wrong decisions

The latest Bears Banter Podcast has arrived!

The Chicago Bears’ brass spent several hours meeting on Monday and Tuesday following the loss to the New Orleans Saints on Wild Card weekend trying to figure out how to improve this team for the 2021 season. Their decision?

Blame Chuck Pagano!

George McCaskey announced in the end-of-season press conference that both Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace would return in their current roles and that Ted Phillips would also remain as team President, so in short, nothing will change.

Will there be a new quarterback under center? Most likely. Will both Nick Foles and Mitchell Trubisky be off next year’s roster? Great question (because they dodged it)! Will there be a couple of new free agent acquisition with wildly back-loaded contracts? Certainly.

It was a 90-minute press conference that proved that nobody gets it and I’m none too pleased. No time to book a guest, you get me and just me venting about the Bears choosing the wrong route once again.
