The latest Bears Banter Podcast has dropped!
In what is no ordinary episode, Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery joins the podcast! Montgomery might be dealing with a knee injury, but that didn’t stop him from stopping by Oswego East High School and surprising the football team with the help of ReadyRefresh!
Montgomery was thrilled to get out there and meet the team. “It was great,” Montgomery said, “Just to get to come out and show these kids what hydration is all about and get their reactions. It was cool and a humbling experience for me being able to see what it meant for me to come out and show these kids how important it is to be hydrated.”
On Monday the Oswego East High School football team was surprised by #Bears RB @MontgomerDavid as a part of @ReadyRefresh to Educate Student Athletes on the Importance of Hydration, Health and Wellness. pic.twitter.com/PaDe1qI8dS— Windy City Gridiron (@WCGridiron) October 20, 2021
Montgomery also said the knee is feeling good, he said it’s “getting better everyday, I’m just trying to improve and get back to 100%.”
We also had a chance to speak with David about his offensive line, what impresses him the most about Justin Fields and what he expects from the team once he gets back healthy, but to find out what he had to say on those topics, you have to check out the podcast below!
Here’s the video of the check presentation and a few more pictures from the event.
On behalf of @ReadyRefresh, @MontgomerDavid was at @oehs308 to donate $2500 to their athletic program and to talk with the players about the importance of hydration & physical/mental wellness. He also spoke with @ZimmermanSXM on his #Bears Banter Pod and you can hear that on Wed. pic.twitter.com/HkXn8qnhE3— Windy City Gridiron (@WCGridiron) October 20, 2021
