Bears open up as a home underdog vs the 49ers for Week 8

The Chicago Bears are 3-4 and coming off a 38 to 3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the San Francisco 49ers are 2-4 and coming off a 30 to 18 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Neither team looked very good in their last outing, but the ‘Niners are an early road favorite against the Bears for their October 31st matchup according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

The line wasn’t available last night as the 49ers were playing, but a few days ago the Bears were getting 4 points for the noon kickoff at Soldier Field. The over/under was 43.5, but with the Bears laying another offensive egg against the Bucs, I figured that number would come down a bit, and it did just that.

As of Monday morning the line has moved to +3.5 for the Bears with an over/under of 41.5.

San Francisco started the season with wins against the Detroit Lions (0-6) and Philadelphia Eagles (2-5), but have lost 4 straight games. The Bears have also beat the winless Lions, but their 2 other victories came against the Cincinnati Bengals and Las Vegas Raiders, both of which are 5-2.
