Bearly a Podcast: Bears stand pat at the NFL trade deadline

We’re debuting a new show on the WCG Podcast channel that will feature short and sweet takes on a breaking news type of topic, Bearly a Podcast. Today it was Robert and Jeff diving into Chicago’s lack of movement at the trade deadline.

The NFL’s trade deadline came and went and the Chicago Bears were like most teams, they did nothing of significance. General Manager Ryan Pace certainly could have fielded a few calls about a handful of his veterans, but it doesn’t seem like the franchise is in a place to make a splash.

At 3 wins and 5 losses they didn’t sell off any soon to be free agents that could have netted them draft picks, nor did they look to acquire any players for a postseason push, so what does that say about the state of the Bears?

In this debut episode of Bearly a Podcast, Robert Schmitz and Jeff Berckes give their quick thoughts on what didn’t happen today.
