There’s sure to be plenty of movement with the players that ended the 2020 season employed by the Chicago Bears. Free agency is a given, we’ve already had some players mentioned in trade rumors, and then there’s the inevitable cap saving cuts that pop up each offseason that will surprise some players.
In this 13 part series we went position by position breaking down the contract status of each player on the roster, speculating on who could stay or go, and we even touched on some free agents and potential draft picks that the Bears could be interested in for the 2021 season.
The salary cap dropping for the first time since 2011 is sure to send several teams scrambling, so expect plenty of extensions, renegotiations, and veterans signing for less that their usual market value.
Free agency will officially start on March 17, the NFL Draft will get underway on April 29, with the slew of undrafted free agents getting picked up once the draft ends on May 1.
