There were some Reddit rumors circulating over the weekend about a former Chicago Bears players getting ready to sign a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, based on an open mic during a Call of Duty game, and today those rumors have become official.

On Monday Rashaad Coward announced that he is inking a deal with the Steelers.

The former undrafted free agent from Old Dominion has started 15 of the 30 games he has appeared in for the Bears with time at right tackle and both guard spots. He originally entered the league as a defensive lineman in 2017, but Chicago moved him to offense before the 2018 season.

He was a practice squadder his entire second year with the Bears, but he became a regular contributor on the offensive line in 2019 and 2020.

Coward was a restricted free agent this offseason but the Bears decided to allow him to move on.
