NFL Draft Results 2021: Chicago Bears take Thomas Graham in the 6th round

NCAA Football: Rose Bowl-Oregon vs Wisconsin Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

With the 44th pick in the 6th-round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears have chosen Thomas Graham, cornerback from Oregon.

Graham opted out of the 2020 season, but from 2017 to 2019 he racked up 143 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 8 interceptions (1 TD), 32 passes defended, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. After three sold years for the Ducks not playing could have hurt his stock. He did play at the Senior Bowl,

He doesn’t shy away form contact at 5’10”, 192 pounds, and some scouts feel he’d be a good fit in a zone based scheme.

His pro day numbers weren’t overly impressive, and his lack of deep speed concerned some scouts.
