The league announced earlier today the scheduled training camp report dates for each of their 32 teams along with a few other notable items about this year’s training camps.
While the Chicago Bears are scheduled to hold their first training camp practice at Halas Hall on Thursday, July 29 at 9:00 a.m. (CT), the rookies and veterans will be reporting earlier that week. The official report date for Chicago rookies will be this Saturday, July 24, with veterans officially reporting on Tuesday, July 27. While it’s certainly possible that players will check in and start preparing themselves earlier, those are the Bears’ official report dates.
This will be the second offseason the Bears have held their training camp at Halas Hall, and besides last year when every team stayed at their practice facility for camp due to the pandemic, this year will mark the fewest teams ever to travel for camp as just five teams will practice elsewhere.
The Bears are are also one of 23 clubs that will hold joint-practices with another team this preseason, with the Miami Dolphins coming to Lake Forest, Illinois on August 11 in advance of their preseason game at Soldier Field.
The NFL Network will provide 13 hours of live coverage on July 31 beginning at 8:00 a.m. (CT) as a part of their Training Camp: Back Together Saturday Fueled By Gatorade event. The network’s camp coverage will get started on July 26 with “Inside Training Camp” and last all summer.
I would imagine with a popular first round draft pick electrifying the city, the Bears could get some more national coverage than usual.
