The Chicago Bears knocked off the Miami Dolphins in what turned out to be a fun preseason opener, but the final score (20-13) wasn’t the big takeaway form this afternoon. The big takeaway is that Justin Fields looked like the guy the Bears drafted at 11 overall. He didn’t play a flawless game, but his performance broadened the hope that so many Bears fans currently have knowing that they have a quarterback of Fields’ potential.
My latest T Formation Conversation podcast saw me taking on the postgame duties for the WCG Channel, so here are my good, bad, and ugly bullet points from the show.
- Justin Fields’ decision making
- Khyiris Tonga and the defensive line
- Alec Ogletree
- Caleb Johnson
- Charles Snowden
- Newly signed OT Jason Peters
- The offensive line
- Chicago's secondary
- Wide receiver’s separation
- Matt Nagy’s play calls
- Special teams
- Cole Kmet’s hurdle
- Javon Wims and Riley Ridley
- Captain Adam Shaheen (lol)
