The Chicago Bears went into training camp with just a few injured players, but their current injury list is getting out of hand with more than a dozen players sitting out today’s practice. The league doesn’t require teams to put out an official injury report until week one, but the Bears may have shared a list of their walking wounded this morning to the media as it was all over Twitter.
Here are the injured players that will miss today.
LT - Teven Jenkins (back)
RG - James Daniels (quad)
OT - Badara Traore (knee)
CB - Artie Burns (quad)
CB - Michael Joseph (hamstring)
S - Tashaun Gipson (groin)
OLB - Robert Quinn (back)
ILB - Josh Woods (quad)
ILB - Joel Iyiehbuniwe (hamstring)
The Bears are also still without the following players that are on various injured/reserve lists.
S- Eddie Jackson (hamstring) - NFI
RT - Germain Ifedi (hip) - PUP
RB - Tarik Cohen (knee) - PUP
NT - Eddie Goldman - Reserve/COVID-19
LB - Christian Jones - Reserve/COVID-19
LS - Patrick Scales - Reserve/COVID-19
OL - Elijah Wilkinson - Reserve/COVID-19
It was reported yesterday by the Tribune’s Brad Biggs that the above 4 COVID listed players could be a result of a false positive.
The offensive line depth has been tested the last week and here’s how they are lining it up this morning per Nicholas Moreano of the Chicago Audible.
- LT - Larry Borom
- LG - Cody Whitehair
- C - Sam Mustipher
- RG - Alex Bars
- RT - Lachavious Simmons
The silver lining in all this, as long as none of these are serious injuries, is that the Bears will be able to get several young players extra reps to better see what they have.
