Doug Pederson is just visiting Bears training camp

There was a buzz circulating social media this morning when former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was spotted at Hallas Hall, in Chicago Bears gear no less, which led to speculation that the Super Bowl winning coach was joining Matt Nagy’s coaching staff. But as reported by Eagles insider John McMullen, Pederson is just a guest for the day.

Nagy and Pederson are good friends, so it’s certainly possible that Nagy would like to add him to his offensive staff in some capacity, but for now it looks like Pederson is just imparting him wisdom in a guest role.

Pederson played quarterback in the NFL from 1991 to 2004, and he coached in the league from 2009 to 2020, but has been out of coaching since the Eagles fired him following last season’s 4-11-1 record.

Would you guys be fine if the Bears brought Pederson aboard as an assistant, consultant, or in an advisory role?
