The Chicago Bears have announced that they have activated offensive lineman Elijah Wilkinson, linebacker Christian Jones, and long-snapper Patrick Scales from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. However, nose tackle Eddie Goldman, who was deactivated along with these three last week, remains on the reserve list.

Wilkinson’s return will bolster the offensive tackle position that has been missing veterans Germain Ifedi (hip) and Lachavious Simmons (concussion), and rookies Teven Jenkins (back) and Larry Borom (concussion).

Jones rejoins an inside linebacker position that has been missing some players due to injury as well with Roquan Smith (groin) and Josh Woods (quad) recently sitting out, and Joel Iyiehbuniwe (hamstring) limited over the weekend.

In Scales’ absence tight end Cole Kmet was doing some long snapping.

As a reminder the Reserve/COVID-19 list doesn’t necessarily mean the player tested positive, because it’s also for players that may have been in close contact with someone that has tested positive.
