The 2021 NFL season has finally kicked off, and with it came a fabulously entertaining Thursday Night matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys. As I watched this 108-pass-attempt QB duel, it dawned on me that we as Bears fans, who’ve never had a “great” QB in the modern era, could learn a lot about the position from studying either guy playing.
With that in mind, I wanted to walk through the modern marvel that is 44-year-old Tom Brady’s performance against Dallas, both because he’s on the Bears’ schedule (Week 7) and because Brady’s game involves precise movements and line-of-scrimmage adjustments that we (as fans of a team with a rookie QB) should be looking to eventually see in our own young signal caller.
I broke down 3 specific plays that stuck out to me from Brady’s, I can’t say this enough, 44-year-old performance and highlighted them in this short breakdown — check it out and let me know what you think!
What did you think? And which non-Bear (if any) would you want to see broken down next?
