Andy Dalton was playing an efficient first half of football for the Chicago Bears, but on a second quarter scramble he pulled up with an apparent leg injury, and Justin Fields entered the game. Fields’ time was short lived however, as Dalton darted back onto the sideline after a quick check up.
But after one more series from Dalton, the injury must have tightened up and the Bears took him back to the locker room to get a closer look. Officially the Bears said that Dalton was questionable to return, but Fields finished the first half, and he opened up the second half, and it looks like he could go the rest of the way.
If the Bears change Dalton’s injury designation we’ll update this article, but my guess is that Justin Fields is going to play the remainder of the game regardless.
Update: Fields has started the second half.
Update: Dalton has been downgraded to doubtful.
You guys think this is the start of Fields’ run as the Bears’ QB1?
