The Seattle Seahawks enter Week 13 at a bit of a crossroads. Losers of three of their last four, the Hawks are looking at a murderer’s row between now and mid-December. After this trip to Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys, they will travel to San Francisco to take on a 49ers team that just destroyed them on Thanksgiving and return home to take on the Eagles. Yikes. At 6-5, they are still in the thick of the NFC playoff race, but in the blink of an eye this squad could be looking at 6-8. This feels like an important game to for Seattle to keep their heads above water.
On the other side of the field, the Cowboys should be feeling good at 8-3, comfortably in the NFC playoff picture if not gently applying pressure to the division leading Eagles. A tough stretch for the Cowboys starts next week as they host division rival Philadelphia before traveling to Buffalo and Miami for a couple of tough road games. In other words, this is totally a spot where a comfortable Cowboys squad could be caught peeking ahead to the Eagles and open themselves up for a let down.
With the Seahawks slumping, the line came out hot in the Cowboys favor at a whopping 9.5. That’s a bit rich for me against a team that has been competitive up until this recent rough patch, but Dallas can score points in a hurry and roll their competition. I think Seattle will find enough answers on offense to help push the over comfortably while covering the big spread. Dallas keeps the good times rolling with another win and everyone goes home happy. Well, except Seahawks fans, but they do deserve some punishment for those highlighter jerseys they wore last week, don’t they?
