Cairo Santos named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month

Cairo Santos is named top Special Teams Player as he continues to show he’s one of the best kickers in the NFL

Chicago Bears v Minnesota Vikings

Cairo Santos has become one of the best kickers in the NFL and now he’s starting to earn the recognition for that fact.

Santos was named the NFC’s Special Teams Player of the Month.

During the month of November, Santos connected on 12 of 14 field goals, and scored 41 points. No kicker had more points this past month than Santos. Not only was Santos good on 12 of 14 field goals, he was 3 for 3 on field goals beyond 50 yards and of course, hit the game winner against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.

This is the third time Santos has won the award. He last won it in December of 2022 as a member of the Chicago Bears. Santos becomes a 2x winner with the Bears, something only Kevin Butler and Robbie Gould had accomplished previously.

Joining Santos as special teams player of the month, from the AFC side, was Denver Broncos kicker Will Lutz.
