The results of these poll questions would have been much different a month ago, but after a four-game losing streak to open the season, the Chicago Bears are (5-4) in their last nine games, and things are looking up for head coach Matt Eberflus.
There are now 80% of our fans who think the Bears will bring Eberflus back for the 2024 season, but more remarkably, 58% of our fanbase are okay with it.
In November, most of us were speculating about how the Bears would look with Ben Johnson, Jim Harbaugh, or Bobby Slowik hired as Chicago’s new head coach, but now we’re either resigned to the status quo or generally want the Bears to keep moving ahead with Eberflus.
The players believe in him and his message, and that’s been a constant since he was hired last year. That belief was tested early, but he and his team kept their focus, and things have turned around.
His leadership has been a big part of the turnaround, but so has his playcalling. He has the defense playing like a top-ten unit, with sacks and turnovers up and explosive plays allowed down.
There are still four games remaining that could sway Bears brass into making a change, but right now, I think he and his team have shown enough for the franchise to keep him around,
