Our partners at DraftKings Sportsbook recently shared their early odds for the Detroit Lions at the Chicago Bears game on December 10, and right now, they have the Lions as a 5-point favorite in Soldier Field. The over/under for the game is 45, and the money line is +180 for Chicago and -218 for Detroit.
Update: The line opened at six points, with the over/under at 46.5, so we’ve already seen some movement.
The Bears are coming off their bye week, but when we last saw them, they were squeaking by the Vikings (12 to 10) on Monday Night Football thanks to four field goals by Cairo Santos. It was head coach Matt Eberflus’ first win against an NFC North foe.
When the Bears traveled to Detroit a few weeks ago, they lost in historic fashion. After dominating the game for 56 minutes, Chicago blew it after going conservative in the final quarter before a sack, fumble, and safety iced it for Detroit.
In their three previous games against Detroit, Eberflus’ defense has allowed 31, 41, and 31 points, so if the Bears hope to have a chance they may need to win a shootout.
The Lions were in New Orleans earlier today, and they raced out to a 21 point lead and hung on for a 33 to 28 win.
Detroit (9-3) is looking to maintain their division lead, while the Bears (4-8) are struggling to get back into the playoff hunt.
