Good morning, Bears fans. We’ve got two games left to go in the season.
After the Chicago Bears finally took one of those hot starts and managed to hold onto it for a win against the Arizona Cardinals, they stand at 6-9 heading into this final stretch. A marked improvement over last year to be sure, but still nothing that anybody should feel comfortable about job retention over.
This week, it’s the Atlanta Falcons, another team that might be in the quarterback sweepstakes this coming offseason, and another chance for Justin Fields and Matt Eberflus to show why they should still be key parts of the team next year.
It’s been a really weird season for the Navy and Orange. At times it’s felt like the games have just been background noise compared to the offseason storylines the team has ahead of them. At other times, weird coaching flaws and game flaws have come up time and time again. Two more games, and the rest will sort itself out.
Week 17. Bear Down, my friends.
Today’s WCG Sunday Livestream saw last night’s report about Matt Eberflus being expected back in 2024 and... well, there are thoughts to be had. We’ll get to all of that as well as a reframing of the quarterback picture in today’s show.
