Following the Chicago Bears' narrow 12 to 10 victory in Minnesota on November 27, our fans' confidence in the franchise jumped to 45%. Some of that could be attributed to the standard bump after a win, some could be our fanbase buying into the four wins in eight games, or some may be fans believing in the young talent general manager Ryan Poles has acquired.
Then again, some yes votes last week could have been from fans who have already fired Matt Eberflus on Black Monday and replaced him with Ben Johnson or Bobby Slowik.
But our Reacts confidence results this week were unexpected.
Did I miss something over the bye?
Our fans’ confidence shot up 24 points to 69% this week!
What flipped in some fan’s minds while the Bears were away from Halas Hall?
Was it Brad Biggs’ spot on Bill’s latest Bears Banter podcast where he talked up the relationship between Poles and team president Kevin Warren?
The network’s put the (4-8) Bears on their “in the hunt” for the NFC postseason graphics on Sundy, so do you see some winnable games in their last five? The Bears host the Lions this Sunday, then go to Cleveland, return to Soldier Field for the Cardnals and Falcons, and wrap up with week 18 in Green Bay.
Where is this newfound confidence coming from?
The Bears are still in the number one draft pick spot thanks to the Carolina Panthers losing again, but is that what caused the spike to 69%?
If you changed your mind over the bye, I want to hear your reason in the comment section.
