How to bet the full Sunday slate in Week 14

We’ve only got a few of these weekends left this year, let’s make them count. The Chicago Bears host the Detroit Lions as slight underdogs this weekend. If you remember all the way back to Week 11, the Bears kicked a field goal with 4:20 remaining to extend their lead to 12 over the heavily favored Lions. For those of you still getting through the backlog on your TiVo (are those still a thing?), this will be an unfortunate spoiler - the Bears collapsed in the final minutes, allowing two touchdowns and a safety to lose by five.

The Bears have a couple of things going in their favor here. They’re the healthiest they have been all year coming off a week of rest. The defense has shown a spark of a pass rush with the addition on Montez Sweat and (could this possibly be related?) are taking the ball away on defense for the first time all year. The Lions defense has struggled since their bye week, giving up 121 points over their last four contests. Their offense, however, has been good enough to win three of those four games, scoring a total of 127 in that span.

The Bears have every right to believe they can win this game. I think the biggest gap between the two teams is the coaching staff. Giving time to Ben Johnson to draw up a better plan for Jared Goff to attack this Bears defense and cut down on the turnover mistakes is likely to give a bigger bounce than giving Luke Getsy more time to plan for Justin Fields to attack the Lions. I think the better team takes care of business to keep in the mix for the number one overall seed with plenty of points for both sides.
