Before I get into the numbers... Happy New Year, everyone! I hope all your dreams come true in 2024!

Yesterday's 37 to 17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons was the Chicago Bears' fourth in their last five games and their fifth consecutive win in front of the Soldier Field crowd. Momentum is building around this team, and we are primed for an interesting offseason.

Yesterday was a wire-to-wire win for Matt Eberflus' squad, and they outgained the Falcons (432 yards to 307), had more first downs (22 to 15), and had the time of possession edge (37:14 to 22:46). The Bears were a bit better on third downs (37.5% to 30.8%), they went 1 for 2 on fourth down while Atlanta was 0 for 1, and they won the turnover battle (4 to 0).

Let's look at the Bears' playing time breakdowns and a few individual stats.

Justin Fields had a nice game with 268 yards passing while completing 20 of 32 (62.5%), with 1 touchdown and no interceptions, which was good for a passer rating of 99.5. He also rushed 11 times for 45 yards and a TD.

DJ Moore had 9 receptions for 159 yards and a TD.

One week after winning the FedEx Ground Player of the Week, Khalil Herbert ran 18 times for 124 yards and a TD. He also had 5 yards receiving on 2 receptions. Herbert is up for the award again this week.

Roschon Johnson had 7 runs for 21 yards and a TD, and he caught 3 for 38.

Robert Tonyan caught 3 for 40 yards.

Tyrique Stevenson had 2 interceptions, 4 passes defended, and 5 tackles.

Kyler Gordon had a pick and 3 tackles.

T.J. Edwards had 2 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 QB hit, and an interception.

Gervon Dexter Sr. had 4 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

DeMarcus Walker had 2 tackles, a half a sack, and 3 QB hits.

Cairo Santos missed a 55-yard field goal at the end of the half, but he hit his other 3 and was 3 for 3 on extra points.

Trenton Gill had 4 punts for a 48.8 average (37.0 net) and a tackle.
